What are the 6 steps of project integration management?
As we mentioned, there are six processes for project integration management, each belonging to one group. What are these project integration management process?
The first step in project integration management is to develop a project charter. It is part of the project initiation phase. This phase gathers high-level project information in order to create the project charter. This will allow the organization to authorise the project. The planning phase will then begin.
The second step in project integration management is to develop a project management plan. It is part of the project planning process group. This will ensure that a project is properly planned and will also help to produce project management plans, such as a scope management plan, schedule management planning plan, cost management plan, etc.
Direct and Manage Project Work is the final of the project integration management process. It is part of the executing process group. This process ensures that the project’s deliverables are produced. During the execution phase, the main outputs of the project will be produced and delivered to customers. This process is primarily focused on delivering project deliverables.
Monitor and Control Project Work is the fourth step in the project integration management process. It is part of the project monitoring and controlling process group. Once the plans are completed, the project’s execution begins. Despite how detailed your project plan may be, the actual results might not be as planned. Monitor and control project work processes can help you measure deviations and variances from the expected values.
Perform Integrated Change Control (PIC) is the fifth process in project integration management. It is also part of the project monitoring and control group. Sometimes, changes may be required due to deviations from the expected values. Customers might also request changes to the project. They can either add a new or modify an existing requirement. These requests for change are evaluated.
