Juniper: Juniper’s New Routing and Switching Exam is Now!
Summer is the season when everything changes, including Juniper Networks. On July 7, 2016, it was announced that the JN0-660 Service Provider Routing & Switching exam would be discontinued and that a new, updated version would be available. All is well that ends. You have another chance to enhance your skills by passing the JN0-661 Service Provider Routing & Switching exam!
It was not without purpose. Juniper Networks Certified Internet Professional (JNCIP–SP) is a written exam that is administered at Pearson VUE testing centres around the world. It covers the following topics:
OSPF
IS-IS
BGP
Class of Service (CoS).
IP Multicast
MPLS
Layer 3 VPNs
Layer 2 VPNs
As you can see, the list above is slightly different from the one for the retired exam. This is the result of revisions that were made to allow experienced network professionals with advanced knowledge in Juniper Networks Junos OS, to verify their understanding and troubleshooting skills and advanced routing technologies.
The JN0-661 exam is well-designed and organized. It lasts 120 minutes and contains 65 multiple-choice question. JNCIP-SP topics are based on the content from the instructor-led training courses and additional resources. Recertification will be granted if you pass the JN0-661 exam. It is valid for three year.
