Global Knowledge’s report states that cybersecurity and cloud computing are two of the most sought-after information technology (IT) certifications in America. Global Knowledge released the report this week. It stated that IT professionals with these skills are highly desired and command the highest salaries. Global Knowledge’s “15 High-Paying IT Certifications 2020” report includes seven new certifications. It is based on survey responses from the Global Knowledge 2020 IT Skills and Salary Survey. The report will be published this spring. The survey’s certifications have a median IT salary of $136185. The highest salary is $175,000. The top three cloud providers, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, hold five of the highest-paid credentials. Global Knowledge provided information about the average credential holder, their age, current certifications and possible job roles. Global Knowledge stated that the updated information was provided in order to provide a better representation for each certification. “The salaries…aren’t just a result achieving a particular certification. They are a culmination of many factors including relevant skills, job role, tenure and hard work.” Here are the top 15 certifications. 15. Citrix Certified Professional – Virtualization (CCP-V)
Average annual salary: $117,000. Official Citrix certification website. Citrix Certified Professional – Virtualization certification validates the skills needed by experienced IT solution builders and engineers to install, configure, roll out common XenDesktop solutions. Certification is only possible with the Citrix Certified Associate in Virtualization certification (CCAV). IT workers must also pass exam 1-Y0-311, which covers topics such as intermediate FlexCast management architecture, Workspace Environment Management, and Workspace Environment Management. App layering, user environments, and other topics are all covered. Global Knowledge reports that the average CCPV holder is 42.4 and has 6.2 certifications.
