AWS Cloud Gets a New Software Defined Perimeter Offering Safe-T, an Israeli security specialist, has launched a Software Defined Perimeter offering for Amazon Web Services Inc. (AWS). Safe-T Software defined Perimeter 3.51 is now available on the AWS Marketplace. This allows users to securely access cloud services without needing to use a virtual private networking (VPN). SDP supports protocols such as HTTP/S, RDH5 or WebDAV. It also provides access for partners and remote users for internal services, according to the company. This includes Web, Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), NTFS and e-mail. The company is a “Zero Trust provider” and offers Secure Access solutions for hybrid cloud environments. It also claims that its offering includes a “Bring Your Own License” model flexibility. Eitan Bremler, a company executive, stated that more and more organizations are shifting to the cloud to reduce costs and increase agility. “With the introduction on AWS Marketplace of our SDP solution, we can now reach more businesses and help them to secure their cloud, data and application access through easy and quick subscriptions to Safe-T’s SDP.” SDP, according to the company’s Web site, can be used to bypass VPN access.
